We Have Lost a Giant Iconic Social Justice Warrior: Dolores Huerta Will Be Greatly Missed

I am profoundly saddened by Dolores Huerta’s death. Dolores was the keynote speaker at the Coalition for Economic Survival’s very first event in June 1973. Dolores stood out as a prominent and iconic leader in the battle to achieve social justice nationwide. Throughout her life, she fought to enhance the lives of farmworkers and to create a fairer and more dignified world for everyone. Dolores illustrated what individuals can achieve through organizing, uniting and fighting for justice. Dolores served as an inspiration to millions, myself included. She will be missed but she definitely made her mark in history.
